This is pop-rock!

Should we talk about the weather?
Should we talk about the government?
Sometimes everything is wrong. Now it’s time to sing alone.
Let’s play Twister, let’s play Risk.

That’s sugarcane that tasted good
That’s cinnamon, that’s Hollywood
That’s who you are, that’s what you could
C’mon, c’mon, no one can see you cry

A bad cover version of life is not the real thing
It’s like a later “Tom & Jerry” when the two of them could talk
I try to be like Grace Kelly
but all her look were too sad

If I could be who you wanted
all the time…
I could be brown, I could be blue
I could be violet sky
I could be hurtful, I could be purple
I could be anything you like
But a bad version cover of life is not the real thing

There’s nothing you can make that can’t be made
No one you can save that can’t be saved
Nothing you can do but you can learn how to be you in time

My mother says “when you gonna live your life right?”
Oh, mother, dear,
We’re not the fortunate ones

There’s nothing you can do that can’t be done
Nothing you can sing that can’t be sung
Nothing you can say but you can learn how to play the game

My father yells “what you gonna do with your life?”
Oh, daddy, dear,
You know you’re still number one

It looks like the real thing
It tastes like the real thing
My fake plastic life
It takes up my time like some cheap magazine
When I could be learning something
This is how we live our glory days

It is my habit I can’t seem to kick
It is my secrets on the front page every week
It is the party that makes me feel my ages
Like a film that’s so bad but I’ve gotta stay til the end
Because a bad cover version of life is not the real thing

And I find it kind of funny
I find it kind of sad
The dreams in which I dying
Are the best I’ve ever had
And all the lonely people
where do they all come from?
All the lonely people,
where do they all belong?
I find it hard to tell you
I find it hard to take
When people run in circles
It’s a very, very mad world, mad world

Here comes the sun and I say “It’s all right”
